# Manage your password

CONNECT accounts are set up to use static passwords by default, but you also have the option to use one-time passwords (OTP) instead.

## Update your password

1. Under the _Sign in & Security_ area of your dashboard, click **Password setup**.
2. Enter the password of your choice in the Set Password and Confirm Password fields.
| 🛑 **${color}[#f03a17](Important:)** Make sure that the password is at least 8 characters long and is not shared with other accounts.
3. Click **Set password**.

## Delete your password

Delete a static password and switch to the OTP system.
💬 **${color}[#48bee7](Note:)** The DELETE PASSWORD area is displayed only if you have a static password set up.

1. Under the _Sign in & Security_ area of your dashboard, click **Password setup**.
2. Under the DELETE PASSWORD area, click **Delete password**.
