# Remove an institutional membership

Institutional memberships are deleted automatically a few days after their expiration but you can also delete them manually in case you have reached the limit of 10 associations.

1. Under the _Institutional Memberships_ area of your dashboard, click **My institutions**.
2. Hover your mouse over the associated institution you want to remove.
3. Click the bin icon.

4. Click **Delete**.

The institution is no longer associated with your CONNECT profile.
